Social Prescribing

Our social prescriber, John Keen-Tomlinson, works Tuesdays 9am – 2pm.

Social prescribers spend time understanding a patient’s non-medical concerns, signposting and linking them with services outside of the healthcare system, to improve their wellbeing.

They support a wide range of social matters, including:

  • Addiction support
  • Antisocial behaviour
  • Anxiety/stress
  • Befriending
  • Cleanliness/hygiene
  • Coping with chronic illness
  • Disability support
  • Employment advice
  • Falls prevention
  • Financial & benefits advice
  • Garden/property maintenance
